NVQ Assessor/Tutor - Early Years : The essentials.

• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA, )
• Teaching Qualification Minimum Level 4 (CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• IAG Qualification Level 3
• Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or Above)
• Sound Understanding of Early Years Apprenticeships
• Sound understanding of E-Portfolio assessment systems
• Commitment to Personal Development
• Adaptable to Change
• An outgoing friendly and confident character
• Full UK Driving Licence and use of our own car


NVQ Assessor/Tutor - Early Years : Your experience.

• Occupational history and competence within the industry
• Minimum 2 Years assessing experience (assessing and tutoring to level 3 in Childcare /Early Years)
• A proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets
• Planning and delivering vocational training programmes and workshops
• Questioning learners about how they would deal with non-standard work situations
• Observing and assessing learners in their workplace
• One to One Teaching and IAG support to all learners
• Be able to Micro teach when required
• Accurate report writing and record keeping skills
• Excellent communication skills


NVQ Assessor/Tutor - Early Years : The desirables.

• IQA or IV Qualification
• Level 5 Teaching Qualification, DTLLS or above

NVQ Assessor/Tutor - Early Years : The role.

• Assessing & Tutoring candidates in Childcare in particular Early Years Apprenticeships up to and including Level 3 in and around Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield and the surrounding areas
• Be able to deliver Functional Skills to level 2 including Maths, English and ICT
• Manage a caseload of up to 40 learners in WBL environments, ensuring timely, achievement and retention rates are met to a minimum of 90%
• Must have own car with Business Insurance and be able to travel within the areas of Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield
• A starting salary is on offer of £19,450, however they are willing to pay up to £23,750 depending on your experience, and qualifications
• Mileage is paid at generous rate of 40p per mile.
