Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school based in Ripon. The Head Teacher has approached PT to assist in the school’s search for a qualified History Teacher to join the Humanities Department on a full time basis starting ASAP. You will be required to plan and deliver an inspiring and challenging curriculum to KS3 and 4 students and drive GCSE results forward. Head Teacher is seeking a passionate professional, who can instil a love of learning and engage students of all abilities in their education including those identified as SEN.

This successful secondary school is based in a diverse area of Ripon. The successful applicant will become part of a thriving and experienced Humanities Department and gain access to a wealth of resources and excellent site facilities. Staff are renowned for their commitment to participating in the wider life of the school and the successful applicant will be encouraged to foster the same approach. Behaviour across the school is good and so you will need to fully adopt the school’s ethos and policies to ensure standards are upheld.

The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for History
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
