Principal Teachers has a vacancy for a Year 6 Class Teacher to commence a full time position in a primary school in Harrogate. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic professional, who can create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that will motivate all learners to achieve their full potential. The vacancy is available to start ASAP on an ongoing basis with the view permanency. You will be required to work with your year group partner to plan for progression and assess meticulously to drive results forward in Upper KS2. The successful applicant will be able to cater to the needs of a diverse class and tailor the curriculum to ensure it is equal arts challenging and supportive for students of mixed abilities.

This thriving primary is located in a rural area of Harrogate. It is well regarded within the local community and staff are very well respected. The KS2 department is very well resourced and you will be working with a team of experienced professionals. You will have a full time TA in class and therefore, you will need to deploy your TA effectively to support pupils with SEN and enhance pupil learning. Behaviour across the school is good and you will need to fully embrace the school’s behaviour management policy and ethos in order to uphold standards. You will need show a willingness to participate in the wider life of the school i.e. after school clubs and extended services.

The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS2
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
