Job Title: Health and Social Care Assessor – (Level 5)

Location: East of England - Must be flexible with travel 

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Duties:

  • Assess and support learners through Level 5 Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
  • Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Level 5 Care Apprenticeship.
  • Plan and deliver effective and engaging training and assessment based on individual learner needs.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
  • Hold own level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care OR RMA / LMC.
  • Hold solid occupational experience of working as a Care Manager within Residential / Domiciliary Care environment (Elderly care)
  • Must have experience of working within Elderly / Residential / Domiciliary Care specifically with some Mental Health and Learning Difficulties experience.
  • Confident to support with the delivery of Functional Skills where required (Maths and English to level 2)
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
  • Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts and nights.
