We're seeking a skilled Fabrication and Welding Tutor to deliver qualifications to learners in a classroom and workshop environment in the Nottingham area. With occupational competency in the industry as a “time-served” Mechanical Engineer (specifically within Fabrication and Welding), you’ll have already attained teaching qualifications, and now you’re looking to use your skills and experience to deliver training to the next generation of Engineers! Fabrication and Welding Tutor: The essentials.

• Level 4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Relevant Vocations
• Teaching Qualification (CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
• Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA, ACWE, AVRA, IQAA, A2)
• Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
• Full UK driving licence and use of own car


Fabrication and Welding Tutor: Your experience.

• A strong occupational history and competence within the Mechanical Engineering industry (specifically within Fabrication and Welding)
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• The ability to motivate and encourage people
• Accurate report writing and record keeping skills


Fabrication and Welding Tutor: The desirables.

• Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications (at Level 2 or Above)

• Established for over 20 years, this commercial business is proud of their specialised training academy and is dedicated to the development of all staff members


Fabrication and Welding Tutor: The role.

• The successful candidate will have drive and enthusiasm to guide learners into achieving up to level 3 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, this includes practical and theoretical delivery.
• You will have a strong professional competence within Mechanical Engineering including machining mechanics, fabrication and welding.
• Based in Nottingham area you will be responsible for small sized classes of at least 15 learners in a classroom and workshop environment, you must be a committed individual and flexible in your delivery to ensure each learner is progressed to the highest standard.
• Up to £32,000 per annum (DOE)
• 25 days holiday plus 8 statutory days
• Company Pension
