Our client is an Ofsted Grade 2 national training provider who are committed to providing a high quality learning provision in a range of occupational areas. They are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to develop business in the North West region of England.

The purpose of this role is to promote the business to Employers, raising the awareness and understanding of the benefits of Apprenticeship and associated training opportunities. It included generation and closing of sales opportunities, leading to the ongoing recruitment of new learners, to ensure that contractual requirements are fulfilled.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Ensure that Apprenticeship recruitment profiles are met across all apprenticeship age ranges and qualification levels
• Self-generate new business opportunities, using a variety of methods, including tele-sales, social media and networking
• Establish, maintain and develop business relationships with employers, to identify their training requirements, including the preparation of training needs analyses
• Identify new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and range of Apprenticeship programmes delivered
• Ensure that Employers understand and appreciate the benefit and value of Apprenticeship and other training and that they are prepared to make necessary financial contributions, in line with governmental and company requirements
• Secure employer engagement in to training programmes and provide regular progress to employers as agreed with them. Identify any problems in programme delivery and resolve these with relevant managers and Employer representatives.
• Prepare performance reports for SMT and Board meetings and attend meetings as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• Well developed networking and inter personal skills, with the ability to act as an Ambassador for the Company.
• Excellent knowledge and links in the local area to quickly generate opportunities
• A proven ability to generate and close sales opportunities
• A sound knowledge of current issues affecting the publicly funded training sector and strong research skills to ensure that knowledge and understanding is maintained
• A sound understanding of the relevant qualifications frameworks and of a range of appropriate qualifications that are available to learners
• Willingness to work variable hours when necessary to meet the requirements of the post.
• Full driving licence and car owner.

Salary on offer is £26000 + Bonus (OTE £45K)+ Mileage at 45p per mile.
