Please note this position is for a private training provider, a full time position 52 weeks per year with holidays as above.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will support learners within classrooms and workshops, who are identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, to ensure that they benefit from individualised support when accessing learning. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in working as a Support Assistant in a SEND educational environment, preferably post 16.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
• Level 3 qualification: Supporting Learning in Schools (or equivalent course).
• Supported pupils one-to-one or in smalls groups.
• As a Teaching Assistant
• Experience working with SEN (an advantage).
• Current, valid DBS (update service - ideally)
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies
• Up to date Safeguarding Qualification Lv1.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
• The ability to adapt quickly to a variety of situations.
• Caring attitude and a passion to contribute the learning and development of pupils.
• Be a confident person with a warm and friendly approach.
• Able to apply behaviour policies effectively.
