Our client is a leading apprenticeship training company specialising mainly in the Tech, Digital and Media sectors - however, they also deliver apprenticeships in other areas too (ie finance/accounting, human resources, etc).

The role:

You will be guiding apprentices to plan their activities, develop their skills in the workplace and support them to complete their qualifications through a mix of coaching, industry guidance, workplace visits and liaison activities.

We are looking for candidates with a passion for coaching and mentoring to complete apprenticeship qualifications and develop their skills in a variety of sector specific roles. The Assessor role includes the following responsibilities:

1. Provide effective, varied and frequent interactions, ensuring that apprentices achieve their maximum potential throughout the training programme.
2. Liaising and communicating with the apprenticeship employers/line managers to ensure they are fully aware of apprentice’s progress and aware how to support them to meet key milestones.
3. Map and advise on work completed against the Standards
4. Assist the apprentice with applying knowledge in the workplace
5. Advise the apprentice and employer to ensure the programme remains on track and any concerns are addressed
6. Guide the apprentice to select evidence for their Summative Portfolio
7. Support the apprentice through the Synoptic Project
8. Support the apprentice and employer with the feedback within the Reflective Journal
9. Confirm readiness for end point assessment.


Formal Education Standard:

• Relevant sector skill knowledge of the workplace and subjects (Human Resource Management, Learning & Development)
•Generic workplace skills, knowledge and understanding including; written skills, teamwork, interpersonal, communication and employability
• Previous experience of delivering apprenticeship qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of the CIPD market and courses
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

• Formal vocational training qualification.
• Experience in coaching others
• Experience liaising and working with sector employers
• Knowledge of sector skills, awarding and funding body regulations
• Experience of using a virtual learning platform such as Moodle

Professional Qualifications and membership:

· CIPD Intermediate level in HR/L&D (or equivalent)
· GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)

· Associate membership of the CIPD is strongly preferred
· Ideally educated to degree-level, however applications from candidates with appropriate and relevant work experience or other equivalent qualifications will also be considered
