QRS is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Lincolnshire area and is looking for a graphic designer to join their marketing team. The suitable candidate will be expected to undertake design and art work tasks in line with the marketing plan, ensure consistency of the College brand and support the development of the College’s visual identity.

The successful candidate must be qualified to Degree Level in Graphic Design, demonstrate they can be self-motivated, exceptionally well-organised with superb communication skills. Knowledge and experience in working all Adobe Creative Suite programmes and knowledge of Windows and Apple Mac desktop environments and operating systems are also essential. Commercial experience of working within a graphic design role is preferred.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of producing high quality design for a range of briefs and platforms, motivation to constantly develop new ideas and use progressive technologies as well as managing multiple design projects on a day-to-day basis.

• Coordinate the production and delivery of key publicity materials (print) against a brief, to support student recruitment and corporate communications, working across a wide range of printed literature to include brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, signage, press, advertising etc.
• Provide digital design solutions e.g. web banners, web features, etc. for the College’s website (including College Virtual Learning Environment) to support its visual appearance and encourage engagement, and the design of e-marketing and digital advertising.
• Liaise with external designers and printers to ensure high quality design, print, cost effectiveness and efficiency, and to promote College brand awareness.
• Support with capturing College photography for use in key internal and external publications, the website and social media. To develop these images for different purposes, and to maintain an effective photo library for the team to utilise.
• Research and develop new and innovative design methods and technology upgrades to maintain a fresh, modern and stylish look throughout all promotional material, sharing concepts and ideas with the team for feedback and development.
• Play a key role in the visual representation an appearance of the College in the public eye to maintain positive College perception including the design of external and internal signage.
• Organise and maintain an effective storage of artwork files so that documents can be easily accessed and amended, as required.
• Establish productive relationships with all staff and students across various College departments.
• To participate in College events, as required to support the marketing team.
• To manage projects, campaigns and tasks accurately, promptly and efficiently with attention to detail and consistency.
