Health & Social Care Qualifications Development Lead/IQA
West and South West London
£34000 + travel expenses
1 Year Contract

Our client is a charity that supports people with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities, working across London. They have built an excellent reputation as an employer. They seek an experienced IQA to lead on the development of qualifications available to staff. You will also manage 2 accredited centres (City and Guilds and ILM) and work externally sourcing funding and managing external providers.

This is a new role and duties include the following:

Develop and deliver a Quality Assurance Strategy to ensure the Centres’ are meeting awarding body standards
Recruit and support freelance Assessors and Internal Verifiers
Develop and grow qualifications on offer
Create a good working relationship with External Quality Assurer (EQA), co-ordinate audits
Managing relationships with college providers
Managing the internal processes associated with the Apprenticeship Levy
Manage the process of updating the Skills for Care National Minimum Database
Manage the funding requirements
Promote and market the company Learning and Development offer to external organisations

Experience required:
• Developing strong relationships with colleagues, external contacts and stakeholders built on trust and respect.
• Ensuring a learner centred experience and focus when designing and delivering qualifications
• Assessing and Verifying social care qualifications to a high standard
• Delivering direct support to people using social care services and passionate about great care and support from a person centred mindset and in practice
• Supporting learning through facilitation, training and coaching
• Delivering an Accredited qualification from scratch
• Preparing for an audit from an awarding organisation
• Managing systems within an accredited centre
• Designing and delivering quality assurance activity in relation to accredited qualifications

Knowledge and qualifications

• Qualified Assessor & IQA
• Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Levy
• Qualified in Health and Social Care (minimum level 4)
• Management and leadership qualification or demonstrable experience
• Highly effective written, verbal and presentational communication skills, able to facilitate groups and present convincingly at all levels
• Confident using technology and comfortable learning new systems
• Experience of using e-portfolios in qualification setting
• Prepared to travel to different services/offices and work occasional unsocial hours.
• Able to manage and motivate colleagues to achieve high levels of performance

The salary on offer is £34K + travel expenses.
