Principal Teachers currently has a requirement for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specialising in German to commence a long term position from September. The Head Teacher of this popular secondary school has approached Principal Teachers to assist in the school's search for an MFL Teacher to teach German to KS3 and KS4 students on on a part time basis. An ability to teach Spanish and French at KS3 level would also be advantageous. You will need to show a commitment to the role and flexibility to continue in the role on an on going basis. You will be required to deliver an engaging curriculum to Years 7-11 students and cater to the needs of students with varying levels of ability to motivate students to realise their full potential.

The school is based in an area close to Boroughbridge and serves a large catchment area.Staff are very well respected within the local community and are recognised for their dedication to ensuring attainment for all. The Head Teacher is seeking a professional who can provide the students with exceptional learning experiences in MFL and instil a love or learning languages. The successful candidate should have a passion for MFL with a desire to instil a love of learning languages in KS3 and KS4 students through the delivery of an exciting and stimulating curriculum. You will need to demonstrate your ability to plan and assess to a high standard to inform target setting and allow students to flourish. Behaviour across the school is good and you will be expected to consistently enforce the school’s behaviour management policy to ensure standards are upheld.

The successful applicant will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
* Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
* Previous experience of teaching in the UK
* Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for MFL
* Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
* The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
* Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
* A commitment to improving attainment for all students
* A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
