Principal Teachers are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with special education needs in a Ripon primary school. The Head Teacher has approached PT to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant on their behalf to commence a full time post starting as soon as possible. The successful applicant will need to show a commitment to supporting teaching and learning in schools and have experience of supporting children with special education needs. You will be based in the Reception class, supporting small groups of children and providing 1 to 1 interventions as instructed by the class teacher.

Based in the Ripon area, the school is well regarded within the local community and staff are very well reputed. You will have access to a wealth of resources and be based in the Reception (early years) class. Behaviour across the school is good and you will need to fully embrace the school’s behaviour management policy and ethos in order to uphold standards. The Head Teacher is seeking a TA with a Level 3 CACHE qualification or equivalent and you will have had experience of supporting teaching and learning in an EYFS setting.

The successful applicant will have:

• CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of supporting teaching and learning in an education
setting in the UK and working with children with SEN
• Knowledge of the current Early Years Framework
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a
diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
