Principal Teachers has a vacancy for an Early Years Teacher to commence a long term role in a Northallerton primary school. The Head Teacher is seeking to appoint a full time position from September or as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be a creative and enthusiastic practitioner, who can demonstrate their ability to deliver an exciting curriculum to children within the Foundation Stage.

Based in a rural area of Northallerton, the school serves a rural and small catchment area. The school is well resourced and has excellent outdoor facilities in the EYFS. You will be based in the Reception class and have support from the EYFS Leader in terms of planning and assessment. You will need to demonstrate your ability to engage all learners within a diverse classroom and support children to achieve their full potential. The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK or EYTS
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in the UK
• Knowledge of the current requirements for the Early Years Framework
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a
diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
