Our client is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria). The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of ‘Good’ under the robust new Ofsted standards.

Our client wants to help the learner succeed in their ambitions. Their students value their welcoming, friendly and caring atmosphere. Their lively learning community helps to make the most of their learning experience at the College.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and creative practitioner to deliver across a variety of Media courses from level 2 to 5. You will be teaching on a range of UAL and BTEC Creative Media qualifications, working within a highly motivated team, to contribute to the continued success of the department.

Applicants will most likely have industry experience as well as a relevant academic and/or professional qualification in the subject area.

As well as being qualified in a relevant subject it would be useful, but not imperative that you have a recognised teaching qualification. If you do not hold a teaching qualification then you will need to show a willingness to undertake appropriate training, for which support will be given.

An understanding of key media production techniques and processes is essential. You will need to have experience with any or all of the following software: Adobe CC suite (preferably Premiere, After Affects & Photoshop), and if you have proficiency with gaming software such as UDK, Maya, Unity, and Stingray this would be an added advantage. A knowledge of a range of cameras and supporting equipment would also be desirable.

You will need to be highly organised and flexible in your approach to work. You will enjoy a challenge, and ideally have experience of working within a team. You should have a passion for working with people of all ages, especially young adults and school leavers. You will have a high level of interpersonal, motivational, communication and organisation skills.

A commitment to student learning and attainment is essential.
