Principal Teachers are seeking to appoint a qualified Teacher of Science on behalf of a secondary school in the Richmond area. The school currently has a vacancy for a full time Science Teacher to commence a long term post from September on an on going basis. The Head Teacher requires a committed professional to deliver an engaging Science curriculum to students within KS3 and KS4. You will also have Form Tutor responsibilities for Year 7.

Based in Richmond, the school is well resourced and has excellent facilities within the Science Department. The successful applicant will become part of an experienced and dynamic team where collaboration is encouraged to share best practice. The Head Teacher is seeking a committed Science Teacher with a specialism in any discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) to motivate Years 8-11 students to achieve their full potential. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to plan and assess to a high standard to ensure that students of a range of abilities are equally supported and challenged. You will need to embrace the school’s ethos and be committed to participating in the wider life of the school.

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in the UK
• Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a
diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
