Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a primary school in the Thirsk area. The Head Teacher and Governors of this Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school are seeking a Key Stage 2 Teacher to cover a long term vacancy. The successful applicant will need to be available on a full time basis, commencing as soon as possible. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint a creative and enthusiastic teacher to deliver a stimulating and engaging KS2 curriculum.

Based in a rural area on the outskirts of Thirsk, this smaller than average primary school serves a diverse catchment area. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a driven KS2 Teacher to maintain high attainment standards and behaviour expectations. Children within the school are motivated to learn and enjoy coming to school. You will be welcomed into a supportive and encouraging KS2 team where you will have access to a wealth of resources and learning materials. The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
• Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum for KS2
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
