My client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Science to grow and flourish with the successful Science Department. The successful candidate will be required to teach in both KS3 and KS4.

The ability to teach Chemistry and/or Physics to KS5 would be a distinct advantage and would suit an ambitious teacher wishing to become actively involved within the College.

You will:
- Set clear learning objectives
- Plan for and teach students of all abilities within each class
- Use data to plan lessons and learning materials
- Have high aspirations for students and set challenging targets for all students
- Set high expectations for students behaviour, learning and motivation
- Ensure that teaching room, resources and equipment are maintained
- Ensure that Health and Safety policies and practices are in place
- Ensure that a stimulating learning environment is maintained in the classroom
- Liaise with Science Technicians to ensure appropriate practical equipment is available to support planned activities
- Be accountable for the attainment and progress of all students who are taught
- Supervise and guide the work of any support staff
- Provide pastoral support and guidance for all students
- Set work for students absent from school for health and safety or disciplinary reasons
- Participate in training and development opportunities

Minimum requirements:-
- QTS, Degree; PGCE or equivalent qualification
- 2 years experience teaching KS3 & KS4
- Evidence of professional development
