Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a primary school in the Knaresborough area. The Head Teacher requires a Year 2 Teacher to commence a full time role starting after the May half term break or as soon as possible. The successful applicant will need to be available until at least the end of summer and be flexible to work beyond. You will take full responsibility for the Year 2 class and support them in their transition into KS2 after summer.

Based in a rural area outside of Knaresborough, this well reputed infant school has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic KS1 specialist to deliver an inspiring and creative curriculum. The successful applicant will possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills and be able to demonstrate evidence of meticulous planning and assessment. Applications are welcome from both NQTs and experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
• Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS1
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
