Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Ripon area. The Head Teacher requires a Maths Teacher to begin a part time post starting after the May half term as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be required to deliver a stimulating curriculum to KS3 (Years 7 and 8) and motivate all learners to achieve in Maths. You will need to be available to work on a 0.6 timetable and be willing to be flexible.

Based in an easily accessible suburb of Ripon, this diverse secondary school is well regarded within the local community. The successful applicant will be welcomed into a thriving and dynamic Maths Department and gain access to a wealth of educational resources and learning materials. The Head Teacher is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Maths Teacher, who can quickly form strong working relationships with staff, pupils and parents. Behaviour across KS3 is good and so you will need to demonstrate your ability to manage behaviour to a high standard to uphold expectations. You will need to be willing to participate in the wider life of the school and fully embrace the school’s ethos.

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
• Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum for Mathematics
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
