Principal Teachers are seeking to appoint an English Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in the Leeds area. The Head Teacher has approached PT to recruit an inspiring and dedicated teacher on their behalf to commence a full time position after the May half term or as soon as possible. The successful candidate will need to deliver a stimulating curriculum to Years 8, 9 and 10 catering to the needs of students with varying abilities and following both the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum guidelines.

Based in a diverse area of Leeds, the school serves a large catchment area. Head Teacher of this Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic English Teacher to motivate students to realise their full potential and achieve the best results possible. You will become part of a thriving and successful English Department and have access to a wealth of support and resources. You will need to be willing to participate in the wider life of the school and embrace the school’s ethos.

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK
• Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum for English
• Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
• The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
• A commitment to improving attainment for all students
• A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
