Role Requirements

The post-holder will establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, partners and employers, understanding and meeting their needs to achieve contract and company targets in relation to sustained job outcomes and progression via qualifications

The post holder will work to monthly targets against key contract performance indicators and service requirements. To be a driving force in the delivery of the programme needs, you will enthuse and motivate people to progress towards sustainable employment removing barriers and providing individual support on a one to one and group basis. You will play a key role in helping individuals to develop the skills that will make a real difference to their lives and their futures. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with confidence and ability to work in a pressured environment. They must be able to challenge customers perceptions and attitudes whilst motivating them to achieve using the principles of guided discovery.

The post holder will need to be qualified to deliver teaching and learning accredited and non- accredited and have some experience of functional skills delivery. They will need to possess current teaching qualifications and competent to deliver a range of training and qualifications. The post holder will preferably have own vehicle with business insurance and current driving licence as travel will be required. This forms a guide to the main duties of the post. It will be regularly reviewed by the line manager to meet operational needs and may be amended.

The successful applicant will be required to: Engage customers on to this voluntary programme and build relationships with external organizations throughout the borough for continued referral source; Source suitable employment opportunities for customers. Manage a caseload of customers to ensure they meet the timely progression and outcome targets and complete necessary paperwork in accordance with contract compliance guidelines.

Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked to or required by the situation.

Ability to perform with insight, acuteness, and intelligence in areas of commerce and/or industry. Make decisions and act in situations in which there is not enough information to be certain of outcome or implications of the decision.

Persuasive Communication

The ability to plan and deliver oral and written communications that impact and are persuasive with their intended audiences

Forward Thinking

Anticipating the implications and consequences of situations and taking appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies.

Mandatory IAG Level 3 or above qualification and a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, DTTLS or equivalent

Teamwork

As a team member, the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team; as a team leader, interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together cooperatively.

Empowering Others

Conveying confidence in employees ability to be successful, especially at challenging new tasks; Delegating significant responsibility and authority; allowing individuals freedom to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues.


Experience of involvement with unemployed and/or disadvantaged people is advantageous.

IT literate with good communication skills.

Ideally be qualified to deliver teaching and learning accredited and non- accredited and have some experience of functional skills delivery

Driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferable.
