1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant ASD NG3
£100 £105 per day Full-time September start
Class Mate is recruiting for a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a primary school in NG3.
You ll provide consistent individual support, helping the pupil access learning, develop independence and feel confident within the classroom.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
- Support access to classroom learning and activities
- Use appropriate strategies to support communication and engagement
- Help promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
We re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Experience with ASD is desirable
- Understanding of individualised support strategies
- Patient, consistent and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
