1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31
Weekly Rate: 455- 480
Hours: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Contract: Long-Term, Temp-to-Perm

Long Term Futures are seeking a patient and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for a Year 5 child diagnosed with Apert Syndrome and Global Developmental Delay within a mainstream classroom at a welcoming primary school in Northfield, Birmingham. You'll work closely with the class teacher and wider team to ensure the pupil receives consistent, tailored support throughout the school day. This is a long-term role with strong potential for a permanent position.

What the School Is Looking For:
Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
Proven experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis
Confident supporting SEN, particularly physical and developmental conditions such as Apert Syndrome and Global Delay
Comfortable working within a mainstream classroom alongside the class teacher
Familiarity with EHCPs - monitoring, updating, and reviewing pupil progress
Sound understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
