About Us:
Our Ofsted Outstanding client school in the Borough of Lewisham is looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on fostering high-quality, authentic relationships. The SLT are now looking for an ambitious 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support two pupils with Autism. The school have high expectations and excellence for all is a norm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in supporting SEN pupils.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide one-on-one support to children with Autism.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Autism and supporting pupils accordingly.
- Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
