An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Finance team, who work closely together to provide timely, accurate and relevant financial services to the students, staff and Governors at Fareham College.

As Finance Officer your main responsibilities will be to manage the College's Purchase Ledger function and process documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with the College's financial regulations and accepted accounting practices.

Key duties will be to process purchase invoices; manage the supplier accounts and payments; monitor and control the College's commitment accounting transactions and advise and issue reports to budget holders.

The position would be suitable for candidates who are AAT qualified, or currently working towards.

Applicants should hold four GCSE's including Maths and English, Grade C or equivalent, preferably having worked in a similar position with purchasing responsibilities. Experience of using a computer based accounts system is essential .
