Freelance Assessor Jobs

Following changes in funding (from Train to Gain into QCF / Apprenticeships and the Work Programme) many Assessors are delivering Apprenticeships rather than NVQs. These funding changes have also led to an increased demand from Training Providers in Freelance (Self Employed) Assessors, Verifiers and Tutors rather than them taking on Permanent Employed Assessors.

Due to this you will see many more Freelance Assessor vacancies on EAT Jobs.

The main reason that both Taining Provider organisations and FE Colleges are now more interested in hiring Asessors on a Freelance / Self Employed / Contract basis, is that this type of work gives Assessors much more flexibility; they can work part or full-time and can take on a caseload of learners that suits the amount of hours they are looking for.

Freelance Assessing tends to have a higher pay rate than Permanent Assessig roles, and Freelance Assessors are paid either by an hourly rate, or sometimes on a Per Completed Portfolio basis!
